Different Styles of Tile Roof

When choosing a new roof, there are many different options today. Not only do you have choices of materials; asphalt shingles, tile, metal. But you also have a plethora of color options. But did you know that there are also different styles of tile roof options?

Most often when you see a tile roof you see the orange tiles, they are a popular choice here in Sarasota and Venice. They look nice, they often match an area. Sometimes it’s nice to keep the same look in the neighborhood, and other times due to being part of an HOA you might have to keep the same style, or the same color. But when that isn’t the case, it’s nice to be able to make that choice on your own style preference, or based off of the style of your home.

It’s important to note that the style of your home also affects how a particular tile choice will look as well. We recently worked on two homes in Venice, FL, and both chose a tile reroof using Crown tile in a Windsor Slate style in a thunderstorm blend, the other uses a Windsor Split Shake in a thunderstorm blend. It’s a deep gray color, very pretty and a nice choice. Each home chose a different profile, or style of tile. And each home is a different style. Check them out and notice how different they look. They don’t even look like they’re using the same color or material.

The difference in style makes these two houses look completely different.
