Venice Holiday Events

2020 has been a year of adaption. Unfortunately it continues through the holidays. Many events have been canceled, such as the boat parade, while others are virtual or in-person with reduced audience. Here are a few Venice Holiday Events still scheduled:

Safe at Home for the Holidays Virtual Concert

Friday, December 18
7:30 – 9:00pm

Join The Venice Symphony orchestra for their annual holiday concert from the comfort of your own home. “Safe at Home for the Holidays” premieres on Friday, December 18 and is free to all on demand. This concert features music from Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker,” traditional Christmas songs and an unforgettable rendition of “The Night Before Christmas” by Sarasota’s own Jamal Sarikoki and The Venice Symphony Percussion Ensemble. They will conclude the concert with “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”

Venice Farmers Market (Last one before Christmas)

Farmers Market vendors will offer produce, fresh baked goods including breads, pies, bagels and pretzels, wild-caught seafood, Florida-grown mushrooms, boutique cheeses, locally roasted coffee, kettle corn, hand-crafted soap, essential oils, nursery plants and fresh-cut flowers. In addition, local artists will be attending the market offering award-winning photography, unique clay art and jewelry, hand-designed clothing for children and adults, and more.

Concert: It’s A Family Affair with the Romig Family

Chris, Karen, William, and Nicholas Romig will delight the audience with Christmas favorites for flute, piano, bass and percussion. This family have spent many years entertaining audiences with their virtuosity, musicality, and engaging stage presence.
