Nestled in the quiet, tree-lined golf course community of Serenoa east of I-75, this single-family estate sits on a spacious lot overlooking manicured fairways and lush Southwest Florida foliage.
Like many established homes in Serenoa, the existing roof structure was structurally sound but nearing the end of its operational lifespan. The original shingles were showing signs of weathering, surface wear, and heat rot — dampening the home’s overall curb appeal and leaving it vulnerable to severe summer thunderstorms.
The homeowners wanted a long-term roofing solution that provided top-tier storm protection while dramatically elevating their home’s exterior aesthetic.
Choosing the right shingle color is one of the most impactful decisions a homeowner can make for their property’s exterior. For this home, the owners selected Owens Corning Duration® Architectural Shingles in Aged Copper.
To ensure this roof withstands Florida’s high winds and torrential downpours, our 100% full-time in-house crew installed the system to Kirkey Code Plus Standards.
A patented fabric strip in the nailing zone that delivers extraordinary grip and wind uplift resistance rated up to 160 mph.
We replaced standard felt underlayment with a self-adhering high-temp waterproof barrier that seals tightly around nail penetrations, keeping attic spaces dry even during driving rainstorms or if surface shingles are damaged.
Upgraded roofline venting to manage attic heat and moisture buildup, protecting the shingles from baking from the inside out and reducing summer cooling loads.
Executed start to finish by W2 Kirkey master craftsmen covered by full Workers’ Compensation insurance, backed by our Inside-Out Guarantee.
Before, after, and overhead — the same roof from four angles.
The transformation in Serenoa demonstrates how a premium shingle system can completely redefine a home’s presence. By pairing high-performance Owens Corning materials with expert local installation, the homeowners gained:
